I laughed so hard at the death certificate and CSI file! But it’s a great (and fun!) way to analyze.

This is all so true, as is everything you post! It’s what happened to me, except with almost all of my healthy habits, when my family and I moved from SD, where we were born and raised, to San Antonio, TX for in a unplanned last minute opportunity to get out of a 10 year unhealthy relationship/lifestyle with my father-in-law. Even my parents say it was drastic but it was the only way it was going to end without being manipulated back. This helped me see all the small habits I used to have which stopped when we moved and how it has affected everything in my life. Thank you for sharing. It has given me more peace within myself again. No matter how small a habit is, it affects many things when stopped and not routine or subconscious anymore.

I’m so grateful to have found your posts. They have helped me so much!

This was awesome! Thanks Dr. Marbas!! Loved it! It takes the blame/shame away from the situation and that is what really is the problem when inconsistency or loss of a routine occurs. Without all of the emotion around it, you can really just move forward and build anew! Thanks again!!

This is so true. And so many times the helpful habits are replaced with less helpful, less healthy habits. Your content is great and always gives me things to consider in my journey. Thanks!

So true. One little change and your habit vanishes! I try to set up basic habits tool One that I need to develop would help with "Where the heck did I put my cell phone?" It's like a daily (okay, several times a day) scavenger hunt for my phone. I know this. Do I put it in the same place when I get home? No. that would totally ruin the hunt.

Ha! For me, cellphone finds its way to a pocket or in my purse upon arrival home, therefore always with me. If for some reason it escapes I use the find cellphone feature on my watch that pings the cellphone and it calls out to me, “I’m over here!” :)

oooh....I have to see if my watch has that feature. (see how I resist routine here). :)
