I wait at least 30 minutes after getting up to touch my phone. And I start every morning with a smile.

I would add breathe prayers in those first 2 minutes of waking.

My husband and I sit up in bed and pray together before we do anything else. It truly sets the tone for the day and helps us to think of others before ourselves.

Definitely! Also, important to teach this to our kids who never knew life without a phone in their pocket.

Great advice! Thank you. Reminds me that there is no text or email or voice mail that is so “urgent” or important that I “have” to engage with my phone right out of the blocks and harm my own health and focus for what is truly needed.

Today I choose to create! I need to finish writing a research paper that is due tomorrow at midnight 🕛 I think the automatic phone habit is creating chaos throughout the day.

I'm putting it in another room today until I finish writing. And I'm going to breathe now🌷🌷🌷
