This is really terrific! I looked at the 4 simple habits, and thought, "I do 2 of those; I bet I could do 1 more.". It feels like I could absolutely stretch before bed.

I'm thinking about how to engineer my workspace so I'll drink more water.

So far, it has worked quite well. Just changing the place I keep my water bottle has increased my intake by almost a whole bottle per 5 hour shift.

I cannot believe how many bells and whistles are going off in my head after reading your posts. It’s uncanny just what I needed right now. I have assisted many people and so doing learnt many things but, as they say, learning is not doing! It’s as if I have everything ready to ‘connect the dots’ for myself. So happy I found you. Would like to subscribe but all the subscriptions are different ? Or perhaps I’m not reading info correctly 🌸

Hi Eva first thank you for sharing and I am tickled the posts are resonating with you. The price is basically free, $10/month or $100/year now.

Dr Marbas, don't ever worry about taking a vacation, leaving us to our own devices for awhile ... I could study/practice everything you've taught so far over and over. In gratitude.

Ah you are so kind...thing is I cannot stop thinking about everything as a story to put in an article! How can I add a touch of humor, joy, or element of surprise, provoke thought, or challenge beliefs! My husband says I am obsesses and I would have to agree with him on this one! But thank you for your kind words again!

This is why I started the community for gifted professionals and communicators. What happens when all three come together and pack a powerful punch? Great professional (doctor), check. Brilliant writer (communicator), check. Exceptionally talented with the genius brain (you know who you are), check. 7 simple truths for deep healing. Feels like home, not a gut punch to me.

Love all of this!

"Stillness Is the Most Rebellious Habit You’ll Ever Build

It starts with one minute."

Often, I will suggest to clients that they try being still just for 1 minute and breathe, relaxing their body. We do it in my office, and I am the time keeper. It is amazing how you can extend the perception of time by just being still. A minute can feel like forever when you are just breathing, sitting, being. It takes getting used to as so many of us are accustomed to being busy and distracted. In all honesty, I find it difficult at times to be still as well and continue to practice.

When first started understanding this practice about 7 years ago I thought I could never quiet my mind. Now I crave it.

Good stuff! A lot of this feels very complimentary to my ongoing recovery practice and meditation rituals. But reinforcing always makes sense.
