Hi, I’m Dr. Laurie, a double board-certified physician who believes your body is designed to heal when you give it the right conditions.

Over the last few decades, I’ve helped thousands of people rebuild their energy, metabolism, and confidence using one simple principle: healing happens through habits, not willpower.

I started The Habit Healers because everyone deserves science that’s clear, actionable, and full of hope, not fear or confusion. You won’t find fad diets or gimmicks here. Just evidence-based medicine, real food, movement that restores you, sleep that repairs you, and a mindset that sustains you.


My Mission

To teach you how to become your own best healer — by understanding your body, mastering your habits, and restoring your joy.


Why I Do This

As a physician, I’ve seen what happens when people lose hope in their ability to change. But I’ve also seen the opposite, people reversing chronic disease, improving focus, stabilizing mood, and thriving again, simply by learning how to work with their biology instead of fighting against it.

That’s what this community is about:

A Few Things About Me

I’m a wife, a mom of three grown kids (and one very spoiled dog), an Air Force veteran, and an eternal student of human potential. When I’m not seeing patients or writing on The Habit Healers, you’ll find me hiking, cooking something, or dreaming up new ways to make healthy living simple and joyful.
